Aspen Sushi Club

Aspen Sushi Club

Aspen Sushi Club

Since its inception in 2021, Chris Stamp and Nobu Matsuhisa joined forces to embark on a journey to create a community celebrating the elegant simplicity of quality food and art.  The origin of their friendship was built upon their mutual love for sushi, the arts, travel and fashion.  This common interest surpassed a simple friendship as the duo eventually started a cult community attracting people who share the same passion for the simple yet beautiful culinary art of Japan.

The first sushi club launched out of both Nobu and Stamp’s backyard of Beverly Hills.  This only made sense as both of their origin stories started in southern California.  But as the community continued to expand, the duo started to discover options for their second Sushi Club location. Coincidentally, they discovered another mutually significant footprint that was perfect for their second stop for Sushi Club - Aspen.

Aspen, CO is the hometown for Chris Stamp and also a place where his parents lived and ran a self-started, independent business for over 18 years.  Fast forward to 1998, Aspen was also the place where Nobu selected as the home for his second Matsuhisa restaurant location - a true stamp of proof showcasing the hard work and success behind his restaurateur dream.  Aspen symbolizes more than a beautiful snowy resort town for both Stamp and Matsuhisa - it represents their true entrepreneurial spirits, dreams and the feeling of accomplishment and success.

For the debut capsule of Aspen Sushi Club, Stampd features the beloved sushi club chopsticks logo, this time dedicating it to the next destination of Aspen.  Known for its affinity to the outdoors, it was important to showcase a perspective of the Sushi Club lifestyle transported into Aspen’s outdoor-centric culture.  The product assortment features Sushi Club’s core essentials with the updated Aspen feature and will be available at the Matsuhisa Aspen location on launch day.

The collection will be available starting 12.10.22 @9am PST online and in store at Stampd La Brea at 11am PST and at Matsuhisa Aspen at 5:30pm MST.
