FW22 FALL ONE "LA Counterculture"

FW22 FALL ONE "LA Counterculture"

The Oakland Raiders were not your average football team in the early 90s.  They were non-conventional and created their own team’s path of  legacy.  Their black and silver logo was proudly represented by not only their rebellious fan base but also by youth pop culture icons, such as NWA.  The attitude behind this era might start with the sport of football, however transcends into the counterculture of grunge and the origins of 90s street culture. Stampd reminisces on the nostalgia of this era’s spirit for this Fall’s collection.

The Stampd logo has been reinvented, this time with a drip effect detail, inspired by the spray paint effect of street graffiti artistry.  Gothic fonts and spiked graffiti typography graze the front and sleeves of the graphic t-shirts, hoodies and varsity jackets to continue representing this iconic era of rebellious youth attitude.  Stampd loves to incorporate an animal print in our collections and this time we introduce the zebra print, which has been reinterpreted through a “tear and slash effect” which looks as though the zebra print has been distressed through the fabric.  You can also see an illustration of Chris’ dog Baxter, featured in the monochromatic color story.

Flannel and cozy terry staples are also essential in this collection.  The flannel placements serve as nostalgic detailing to some of our favorite Fall staples from our high school and college pep rally days.  The oversized hockey jersey continues to carry that fearless spirit through and can be easily styled with our sweatpants or workwear silhouettes as our ode to the anarchist mentality of the youth of 90s So-Cal culture.

The collection will be available starting July 16th @9am PST online and in store at 11am PST at Stampd La Brea, as well as through our global selects.
