SS18 'BLEACHED DREAMS'
STAMPD’s SS18 collection, Bleached Dreams, will deliver its first release on Thursday, February 22nd. Until today, the collection and its accompanying lookbook has been predominantly kept under-wraps aside from a few teasers on the brand and designer’s social media accounts.
Borrowing cues from the tumultuous party scene of the 1990’s, the collection explores the dynamic cultural landscape, coast-to-coast, that has reemerged among a new generation. This idea inspired the blueprint for Bleached Dreams where a muted color palette sits next to vibrant injections of reds, oranges, and pinks; ribbed puffer jackets are paired with loud trunks; and 1990’s Daytona Beach is an equally desirable destination as Swiss mountain tops.
“It’s a collection representing then and now,” says Creative Director, Chris Stamp. “It’s a reference to the blurred lines and divides between social norms with the intention to offer up something special that everyone wants in their wardrobe - we’re all looking for something to feel good about.”
Standouts from the drop include oversized short and long sleeved Hockey and Daytona jerseys, Drive pullover crew, and Check-Striped Terry shorts. Other highlights include the Racing Anorack track suit, TJ Rug Anorack (inspired from Mexican blankets), and “Flirting With Disaster” Babes Hoodie.
